Glued baffle blanks - note the curliness of the Maple used in the stringers and baffles

Once the work has been released from the clamps the glue is allowed to continue to cure for a day or so more before what is now called the ‘baffle blank’ is presented to the thickness planer to smooth both sides and arrive at the proper thickness.
